I filled the seats and it kept up with traffic. However, the Kia Sorento X-Line has no problem moving the fun meter with a 2.5L turbo-charged engine with 281hp. I have driven several of the other smaller three-row crossovers on the market and the performance leaves much to desire.

The X-line uses Matte trim color pieces that seem to blend nicely with Aruba green paint color. Some lower body cladding also adds to the off-road ready look as well as one-inch body lift. The X-Line styling adds a unique front and rear bumper that gives this crossover a more rugged look. Last year you could only get this X-Line on the top trim level versions, but for 2022 you can have the X-Line look on other trim levels. The Sorento X-Line is a new addition to the line that adds some tough and rugged style to this crossover. If you want a more luxury, then choose the SX trim level with heated and ventilated leather seats, second-row captain’s chairs, and larger 10.25-inch touchscreen with Bose premium sound. The second row also gains space, allowing for more leg room than the last Sorento and other smaller three-row crossovers. It picks up extra space in the cabin that really opens that third row of seats for adults for shorter trips. The Kia Sorento saw a major redo in 2021, adding more space in this smaller mid-size crossover. Kia sorento xline 2022 manual#
Also missing are hood struts -you have to use a manual prop to hold the hood open, despite hood struts being on Sorentos in other markets. Blind spot monitoring, distance to the car in front, speed, they're all displayed in the heads-up unit -but not available on North American Sorentos. The most notable is the heads-up display, which I find to be a great safety feature on the Telluride. There are some things the Sorento lacks that the Telluride has, and which are available in other countries but not on a North American Sorento. The 2022 Sorento has memory seats, which was missing from the 2021 model and is a great feature when you have multiple drivers. Can't wait to see how these perform over the years, but my confidence is high. Scary! Kia has been on a great streak with quality and design. My previous Ford Escape was half that for bumper to bumper, and only 60k for powertrain, and the transmissionAND the turbo both went out at 60k. The 100,000 mile limited powertrain warranty gives me comfort, as does the bumper to bumper 60k warranty. I love the design, as well, which takes many cues from the bigger Telluride. The cargo space is great, especially if you drop the third row -very easy- which allows for tons of shopping/grocery bags or luggage. The mileage is good for an AWD, at 22 city and 27 highway. This feels more solid on cornering than the 2018 Tiguan I had, which was much lower to the ground. The 2.5L turbo is very impressive, with lots of power and torque, and the handling is fantastic, especially around corners at fast speed. I love the safety features -active lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, active assist braking, collision monitoring and more- and the 360 degree cameras are a great feature when getting in or out of tight spaces. Our Sorento is the SX-Prestige, AWD X-Line version. I got the 2022 Sorento for myself after we bought a 2021 Telluride for my wife.
